Gravitational waves detected, by both of the twin Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO) detectors, located in Livingston, Louisiana, and Hanford, Washington, providing the final piece of the puzzle for general relativity. This could be the biggest breakthrough in physics in a hundred years.
