A demonstration of unmanned aerial systems traffic management technology developed by the Lockheed Martin Corp. showed that integrating UAS into the national airspace might not be as expensive. They used the Stalker XE UAS to spot and pinpoint the location of a fire and an unmanned Kaman Corp. K-MAX cargo helicopter picked up water from a nearby pond and dropped it on the fire.
